Required Education:

  • A diploma in an engineering discipline and/or finance/accounting
  • PMAC certification.

Preferred Experience:

  • Senior level experience within an Engineering Procurement and Construction company servicing the oil & gas industry
  • Understand the laws of contract and agency, and developing the terms and conditions for purchase orders and contracts
  • Proficient in the use of MS office 2007
  • Knowledge of Smart Plant Materials

General Duties, Responsibilities, & Critical Outcomes:

  • Preparation of tender documents, bid evaluations, purchase orders, and all follow-up documentation for project related purchases.
  • Preparing and issuing inquiries using approved vendor list(s).
  • Making recommendations for purchase and obtaining approval signatures.
  • Negotiating commercial terms with suppliers and awarding orders or contracts as appropriate.
  • Acting as procurement liaison between client, supplier, construction contractor and TOYO regarding schedules, budgets, estimates, procedures, market trends, shipping, quality and service.
  • Expediting or directing the expediting of orders to delivery, reporting progress at regular intervals, to project and construction managers.

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Implementing client project commercial terms and conditions where applicable.
  • Liaise with Engineering, Project Controls and Accounting.
  • Maintain the non-technical communication register and files for vendor communications.
  • Review invoices for payment, ensuring all order terms are satisfied.
  • Maintain proficiency in company-used purchasing software.
  • Maintain working knowledge of company used spread sheet and work processing software.
  • Participate or chair Supplier pre-award meetings.
  • Evaluate supplier performance with the focus on continuous improvement.
  • Provide regular performance measure of procurement activity for corporate and client.
